College Preview Days

College Preview Days for the Spring 2024 semester will take place the week of Monday, February 19, 2024.

Guests will visit the "college of the day" based on their registration. At this event, you will hear a short presentation from our Admissions Counselors and our Honors College, connect with representatives in your college based on your registration, and participate in an optional campus tour with one of our South Guides. This will include a look at our libraries, on-campus medical facilities, football stadium, and more! Lastly, guests will have the opportunity to browse the USA Bookstore, take photos at popular locations on campus, and ask any questions you may have!

Below are the dates that each college will be featured. Select the name of the college that you are interested in to see a list of undergraduate academic majors and programs. You can use the calendar at the bottom of this page to register. Be sure to register for the event that matches your academic interest. For example, if you register for one of these events and the major you select is housed in a college that does not match your registration, you will be contacted to see about rescheduling for another visit opportunity.

• This day is for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in the health field.
• Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions is the primary college that will be showcased on this day.
• NOTE: There are a wide variety of majors that will be beneficial for post-graduate health programs. In addition to the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions, there will be other colleges that will have majors featured on this day.

For this preview day, the college will split into subgroups, so be sure to register for the event that best aligns with your academic interests.

  • Teacher Education includes: Special, Elementary, Health, Secondary, and Physical Education
• Professional Studies
  • Professional Studies includes: Hospitality and Tourism Management, Sports Management, Organizational Leadership, Recreational Therapy, Exercise Science, and Interdisciplinary Studies 

February 21st-  Mitchell College of Business and College of Nursing

February 22nd - College of Arts & Sciences 

February 23rd - College of Engineering and School of Computing

As a reminder, students who attend this event will receive a $100 credit when they enroll at South. Space for each preview day is limited. Therefore, prior registration is required to participate. Students may bring up to two guests, but they must be listed on the event registration to participate. Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

Don't forget! Students who attend this event will be entered to win a $500 USA Bookstore scholarship! The lucky winner will be notified via JagSPOT and will receive $250 for the fall and spring semesters. The scholarship will be applied directly to their student account following their enrollment at the University of South Alabama.

NOTE: Our tours are typically given outdoors in our open-air vehicles when weather permits. Therefore, tours may be cancelled, postponed, or otherwise adjusted if inclement weather is expected. Should this be the case, our guests will be notified.
